Level III: Advanced Group Training
Time: September 2nd - 4th
Location: UBC Vancouver Campus
Level III focuses on the group therapeutic process and is the level at which the program becomes more clinician focused. This client-centered level is the introduction to the group therapeutic process and how to facilitate and promote group member change and growth.
Level III aims to develop core facilitator roles, competencies, responsibilities and an experiential learning component in order to stimulate client change. Prominent theoretical frameworks integrated in this level include Yalom’s Interpersonal Model of Group Psychotherapy, Perls’ Gestalt Therapy, and Wallen’s Model of Communication.
Following the completion of Level III: Basics of Group Therapy, participants can continue on to Level IV: Therapeutic Enactment (part 1) taking place on UBC Vancouver Campus from September 6th-8th, 2019.
Training includes of:
Two and a half days of training with Dr. Marvin Westwood
